We did our homework to find out which honeys are recognised around the world for published health benefits, as well as great taste. We then selected 67 different varieties and took them down to our lab. We were not surprised to find that honey made from New Zealand Rewarewa pollen came through with flying colours, high in antioxidants*.

Honeybees make Rewarewa honey from the nectar of Knightia excelsa, a prominent tree native and exclusive to New Zealand. In spring, red Rewarewa flowers splash colour all over the countryside and are an irresistible source of nectar for honeybees.
Natural Rewarewa honey is one of the best honey sources for antioxidants, phenols and flavonoids, and it tastes good too!

Honeybees are clever. They make bee propolis by collecting resin from trees and combine it with beeswax and enzymes to seal and protect the hive. Bee Propolis originates from a plant’s immune system and contains over 300 natural, bioactive compounds, flavonoids and phenolics (potent antioxidants) that work at the cellular level to fight free radicals and support the body’s immune system, naturally.
What makes us different from others, is our measure of flavonoids (it is the flavonoids that matter when buying bee propolis as these bioactive compounds are what support the immune system – not the amount of propolis or fresh equivalent of propolis consumed).
